Being Brian's and my child, it's a given fact that Luke WILL love the beach and the water! Since it was our first opportunity, the first California experience we wanted Luke to have was a trip to the beach...and I was dying to get some pictures!
Knowing full well what was going to happen, we sat Luke in the sand...
...he assessed the situation (in full Luke style)...
...reached down and put his hand in the sand...
...grabbed a nice big handful
...and, yup, went straight for the mouth!
He didn't quite get the sand in because we were both expecting it!
After feeling the sand and watching the ocean, it was time to get his feet wet....literally!

He wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but he seemed to be alright with it...until...
...the water got a little too close for comfort and...you guessed it...
...he was NOT impressed!!! hahaha! That's mean Daddy!!! Mind you...the water's about 62/63 degrees (according to Brian). He got over it quickly though! Daddy thought he might show him that it really is okay...crazy Daddy! Burrrrr!
So then it was time for a picture with Mommy...
And then it was time to say, 'See you soon beach!!!'
What a way to end a first trip to the beach...on Daddy's shoulders!
It was a great time and we fully intend to spend more time there! This is the beach that is on base, so it's never very populated and it's all military, which is great!
And here's one just to show my creative side...haha!
